We are announcing the death of Philip Muraba Kanyote, which happened in Kenya on Monday after an illness. He was husband to Mary Nduta Muraba; father to Ruth Wangeci Muraba, Angela Mugure Muraba, Colin Kanyote Muraba, and Kevin Kimani Muraba; father-in-law to Christopher Itotia; grandfather to Lynn Nduta Muraba and Ryan Ng'ang'a Itotia. He was son of Ruth Wangeci Kanyote and the late Peter Kanyote, Brother to Dorcas Wathoni Kanyote, Helen Wanjiku Njenga, James Mwiiri Kanyote, Njuguna Wakanyote, the late Mary Wangari Kanyote, the late Njoroge Kanyote, David Manyara, and Raphael Kamau Kanyote.

Funeral will be on Friday April 15, 2011 in Dagoretti,Kenya.

Family and friends are meeting for prayers nightly at 207 Magnolia Terrace, Essex, MD 21221 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 4 p.m. at Best Inn Hotel located at 6510 Frankford Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21206.
