It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Mr. John Kiguoya Karaka of Ministry of Roads (KENHA) on 14th August 2011, at Nairobi West Hospital. Son of the late Elder Mwalimu Rufus Karaka Manjeru and the late Marion Wangui Karaka of Ruona, Gacharage.
Son-in-law of the late Erick Macharia Gichia and Miriam Waithera Macharia. Cherished loving husband of Margaret Waringa K. Karaka (formerly of BBK). Caring father of Karaka and Wambui (St. Louis), Marion (KACP), Macharia and Wairimu (Nrb).
Adorable grandfather of Kiguoya, Isabelle, Chege, Shiloh and Katrina. Brother of the late Margery Karanja, Leah Mutahi, Major Peter Karaka, Mwalimu James K. Karaka, Ephado N. Karaka, Cyrus M. Karaka, Virginiah W. Kimani, Anne N. Kibaki, Lydia W. Wambugu.
Brother in love of the late Phylis N. Mwaura, Anne M. Gichuhi, Eunice W. Muita, Ruth W. Hiuhu, Shiphirah Macharia, Paul Mwangi, Elias Wanjau, the late Samuel Chege, Jane W. Mutua, Alice W. Kihonge and James Kahiga. Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence, Savannah Estate Donholm Hse No. 141 and on Wednesday and Thursday evening at Garden Square Restaurant from 5.30pm.
The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Funeral Home Friday 19th August 2011at 9:00am. The funeral service will be at P.C.E.A Ruona Church at 11:00 am followed by burial at his Ruona farm, Gacharage Sub-location, Kandara.
