Ben was loved and respected by many. Friends described him as a guy who was always happy, full of life and a people person. Ben opened his home to many, helpfully reached out to all and loved all. He'll forever remain in ours hearts and our thoughts.Ben was a star that shone here on earth and even now we feel him shining down on us from heaven.

Ben worked as a maintenance foreman, a supervisory position at the MTS in San Diego. He encountered his death at work in the early morning of March 24th, 2009 when a colleague opened fire shooting Ben and another co-worker. Ben who worked the graveyard shift at the MTS died at the scene. Ben also owned a private Smog business called Mwangi Smog Test in Spring Valley, where his sole employee, Diego described him as “a good guy, a good father.”

In San Diego, family and friends are meeting at Ben's home in Lemon Grove trying to come to grips with this terrible tragedy. We are requesting all our Kenyan friends all over to keep us in prayers and support us as we celebrate Ben's life and put him to rest.
